Membership in the Rochester Chapter NRHS is open to all interested individuals, and membership in the NRHS is required for membership in the Rochester Chapter.

All members receive both the bi-monthly NRHS journal, The National Railway Bulletin, and the Rochester Chapter’s monthly newsletter, The Semaphore. Members also receive discounts on merchandise from the Chapter store. Members are encouraged to participate in the many Chapter events and enjoy the history of railroading in the Genesee Valley.

The major classes of membership in the Rochester Chapter NRHS are:

• Regular Membership (Chapter + National)
  This class is for members seeking to join both the National organization and the Rochester Chapter.
  
• Local Membership (Chapter Only)
  This class is for members who may already belong to another Chapter of the NRHS and wish to join the Rochester Chapter as a second Chapter. The dues for this option also apply to Associate NRHS members wishing to join the Rochester Chapter as their home Chapter.

An optional Family membership is available for the spouse of a member who resides in the same household as the member. A local family membership also requires a family membership in the National organization.

After September 1, applicants paying the full National dues for the following year will become members of the NRHS for the balance of the current year as well. *Regular family membership covers one regular membership and one family member. Additional family members are $5/year.
